Self taught folk artist, Julia Eves, grew up near New Orleans and now lives in Mississippi with her husband and many animals. Julia calls herself "a painter of happy colorful things." Her unique, vibrant designs, lush colors and abstract style make all of her paintings an absolute joy to behold. It's no wonder she has been called a "daydream painter and magic maker." She draws her inspiration from nature, her love of animals, the rich culture of the South and Mexican folk art. Frida Kahlo is her muse.
